The finished perspex model!

Excuse the work around it!
Overall working with perspex for the first time was a brave decision!, although I found I have gained important skills regarding working with different materials, and understanding an interior. This model I made to explore the interior of my office builidng which has been made out of wood, I feel the proportions of the perspex are just right for this.
This piece is imaginative and feels impressive with the highlights of pink, rather than just looking at a flat model, the reflections on the base of the model ensure the piece is interesting and abstract. When working with perpex, one of my dislikes is how easily it can stratch, I have to ensure the perspex remains clear and not stratched by anything in its surroundings. When looking at other google offices, the colours used reflect the mood, I feel I have utilised this in my perspex model, rather than using too much colour, I have used dashes of it to create a mood and a vibrancy.
The making aspect of the model firstly relied on measurements to ensure it was designed to its best ability, the technical side of the designing I thought went well when beggining to cut out the diferent pieces of perspex, also the scale and proportions have to be perfect, otherwise the model will look out of proportion and not as life-like. When I look at certain parts of the model, I have found a few imperfections which I wish I could change, just by using the buffing machine or some sand paper for another two minuites, although overall I am very happy with how it has turned out.
Overall, I am now able to say I can work with perspex more in the future and in my future course of 'interior design'. Using perspex has been very useful and I have feel I have gained more knowledge about interior design as a whole, by looking at scale I have understood how scale is important in all aspects of interior design. And also I have now learnt how to use different machines like the buffing machine, to ensure the perspex has been sanded to its best.
